Kingston Office

Area Guide

One of only four Royal Boroughs in England and Wales, the historical medieval market town of Kingston upon Thames has rightfully earned itself a reputation for being a very desirable place to live.

Kingston is internationally renowned for its extensive range of shops and services and, as such, enjoys its title as a ‘premier retail centre’ within the South East of England.

These excellent shopping facilities, combined with its highly regarded schools, colleges and universities, splendid and extensive range of restaurants, pubs, clubs, cinemas, theatres, royal parks, sports venues, architectural and historic attractions and entertainments, makes Kingston a thoroughly enjoyable place in which to live, work or visit.

Transport Links

The Royal Borough of Kingston has an extensive public transport network and is served well by bus and rail links to both central London and the Surrey countryside. Trains to Waterloo from Kingston run every 15 minutes and all the Boroughs stations are within 30 minutes of Central London. The nearest London underground stations are at Richmond and Wimbledon.

Local Attractions

The mixture of old (Hampton Court Palace, Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, the market place, local architecture) and new (Charter Quay riverside development, The Rotunda, Kingston Theatre, the Bentall Centre) offers the young and the not so young such an enormous spectrum of choice that it is hard to imagine anyone not being able to enjoy Kingston’s hospitality.
